Fosun hosted grand reception in the United Kingdom

Fosun Group has co-hosted a grand cocktail reception and dinner titled “In Celebration of Entrepreneurial Spirits in China and the UK” in London in the evening of 26 July 2012, UK time. At the invitation extended by Mr. Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun Group, Mr. Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, delivered a keynote speech to an audience of over a hundred guests from China, the United Kingdom, Greece, France, Spain, and.
Also spoke during the reception were Mr. Liu Chuanzhi, Chairman of China Entrepreneur Club, Mr. George Koutsolioutsos, CEO of Folli Follie Group, Mr. David Riddiford, CEO of Links of London, and Leonhard Fischer, CEO of Kleinwort Benson. The evening was given an extra touch of culture by a recital of the renowned violinist Lv Siqing and a sharing session led by Thomas Heatherwick, the designer of the United Kingdom Pavilion of the World Expo and one of the designers of flame cauldron for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Mr. Liang Xinjun, Vice Chairman and CEO of Fosun Group, engaged the Group’s business partners from Europe and the United Kingdom, and well-known Chinese entrepreneurs including Chen Dongsheng, Yu Minhong, Ma Weihua, Niu Gensheng, Zhu Xinli, and Liu Donghua, in a break out discussion session on culture, opportunities in the post-crisis era and business collaborations opportunities.
The reception was held in the Royal Hospital Chelsea, which has some three hundred years of history and is one of the few national institutions that remain standing after three centuries. With its long history, the unique red-brick exterior and delicate interior decorations, the venue is complementary to the theme of cultural exchange among the entrepreneurs.
