On 22 May 2024, Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun International and his delegation met Ho Iat Seng, Chief Executive of Macao Special Administrative Region of the PRC (Macao SAR). Guo Guangchang provided an update on Fosun's business development in Macao SAR. Li Haifeng, Chairman of Fosun Foundation, Wen Xiaodong, Chairman of Fosun Infrastructure Group, and Paulo Barbosa, CEO of Fidelidade Macao, also attended the meeting.

On the same day, the 4th BEYOND International Technology Innovation Expo (BEYOND Expo 2024) commenced with a spectacular opening ceremony at the Venetian Theatre in the Venetian Macao. Guo Guangchang attended the opening ceremony and had a fireside chat with Jason Ho, Co-founder of BEYOND Expo.

This year's BEYOND Opening is themed "What's Next?". Speaking of Fosun's development in the next 30 years, Guo Guangchang said Fosun will focus on developing industries where it has formed advantages, with innovation and globalization as the core drivers, so as to pursue stable revenue and profit growth. “Firstly, we must steadfastly commit to innovation by working with others and learning from others to achieve innovation. Secondly, we must steadfastly commit to globalization by making good use of global resources and bringing together global talent. In the course of globalization, we hope to continue receiving Macao SAR's support to further deepen our development here,” Guo Guangchang said.

Regarding philanthropy, Guo Guangchang said Fosun has steadfastly committed to "Developing Business for Good" by using commercial means to make society better. Fosun was founded 31 years ago by several Fudan University alumni. To this day, Fosun remains deeply committed to supporting youth entrepreneurship and innovation. In 2016, Fosun Foundation and Portuguese insurance company Fidelidade jointly launched the Protechting Startup Accelerator Program with the aim of supporting global youth entrepreneurship. This year, the three outstanding teams have also attended BEYOND Expo 2024 to participate in roadshows and exchanges.

This year marks the 4th consecutive year that Fosun has brought its latest innovations and enterprises in the Health ecosystem to participate in the BEYOND Expo. Through participating in international forums and exhibitions, Fosun fully demonstrates the Group's latest scientific and technological achievements under its "innovation" and "global operations" strategies. At this year's BEYOND Expo, Fosun Foundation has partnered with enterprises in Fosun's Health ecosystem, namely Shanghai Henlius, Fosun Kite, and Fosun Aitrox, to showcase their achievements in the Healthcare exhibition area. In addition to showcasing the latest scientific research achievements and technological applications, Fosun has also shared how its cutting-edge research and technologies can accelerate the improvement of people's livelihood and health needs, thereby contributing to society. Fosun aims to leverage the expo to more concretely demonstrate its latest achievements in "Public Welfare + Technology Innovation".

At this year's BEYOND Expo, Fosun has held a dedicated roadshow around its international benchmark project, the "Protechting Startup Accelerator Program" initiated by Fosun Foundation. In April this year, the 6th Protechting Startup Accelerator Program, jointly organized by Fosun Foundation, Fidelidade and Luz Saúde concluded successfully. The agit, glooma, and Gripwise teams were selected as the top three finalists from over 200 participating teams. The projects of these top three teams demonstrate efforts to combine medical technology and business in the health sector during the AI era, which is in line with the mission of the Protechting Startup Accelerator Program. Fosun Foundation and Fidelidade jointly invited these three Portuguese Protechting teams on the "Youth Innovation Beyond Borders" (青創無限) tour in China, where they visited, engaged in exchanges and conducted roadshows in well-known enterprises, universities, research institutions, and non-profit organizations in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Macao, Foshan, and other cities, seeking potential partners and market opportunities.

As one of the three sub-brands of BEYOND Expo, the Healthcare Summit has always attracted great attention. This year's Healthcare Summit was held on the afternoon of 23 May. Li Haifeng, Fosun Global Partner and Chairman of Fosun Foundation, Fidelidade, Shanghai Henlius, Fosun Kite, and three Portuguese Protechting 6.0 teams, agit, glooma and Gripwise, had in-depth exchanges at the "A Glance at Innovation in Sino-Portuguese Cooperation" forum, demonstrating the concept and achievements of "public welfare + technology innovation", and achieving high-quality international exposure across all platforms.
