The result for “Most Respected Companies 2012-2013” contest was announced in Beijing recently. Fosun stood out among 61 nominees and was awarded the “Most Respected Company” by its social responsibility and commitment on shareholders, clients, staff and the society. Wu Ping, Executive Director and Senior Vice President of Fosun, attended the award ceremony and addressed on the topic of “accelerating globalization, capitalizing on internet”.
As the largest non-state owned enterprise in China, Fosun was awarded the “Most Respected Companies 2012-2013” together with 30 other enterprises including Lenovo, Alibaba, Vanke and IBM. In addition to representatives from the awarded enterprises, Hou Yunchun, Chairman of China Enterprise Evaluation Association, and Hu Deping and Gu Shangzu, former standing committee members and vice-directors of economic committee of the CPPCC, were also invited to attend the award ceremony and made a speech on the topic of “The era of transform for leading enterprises”.
As the first contest emphasizing on corporate values in China, the “Most Respected Companies” contest has borne its social mission for more than a decade. The event is dedicated to promote the appropriate corporate value and methodology with a view to pushing forward advancement in both enterprises and the society. In 2013, the contest actively identified new definitions and ideas to redefine the spirit of a most respected company in this commercial era of a transformed China. Many outstanding enterprises in China were awarded in this event with a jury committee formed by scholars, media and those dedicated to community services, as well as fair rules of assessment and a stringent evaluation process.
