Guo Guangchang to focus on Fosun International’s strategic business development

(26 March 2018, Shanghai) Pursuant to the announcement of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co. Ltd. (“Fosun Pharma”), Mr. Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun International Limited (“Fosun International”), has stepped down from the position of Non-executive Director and as a committee member of the Strategy Committee of the board of directors of Fosun Pharma (the “Board”). In addition, Ms. Kang Lan, Executive Director and Senior Vice President of Fosun International, has stepped down from the position of Non-Executive Director at Fosun Pharma and the committee member of the Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee of the Board, in order to strengthen and align her responsibilities at Fosun International.

The changes to the Board of Fosun Pharma have no impact on the daily management and business operations of the Board at Fosun International and Fosun Pharma.

After reducing the number of positions he holds in the subsidiaries, Mr. Guo Guangchang will increasingly focus his efforts at Fosun International, including strategic direction, development of major projects and new business opportunities. Furthermore, as Fosun’s Global Partnership Model grows, now with over 30 Global Partners, the Group hopes to nurture the new generation of management and leaders and will increasingly entrust more responsibilities to the Global Partners.
