Landmark of New York becomes “Metropolitan Meeting Hub” US and Chinese business leaders exchanged at One Chase Manhattan Plaza
The fifth “China-US Business Leaders Roundtable” themed “Building a New York State of Mind for China’s Business Leaders” was held in New York City at the One Chase Manhattan Plaza on April 17, afternoon (EST). Playing host to the roundtable, Mr. Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun Group, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech of the warmest gratitude to an audience of more than 200 business leaders from China and the US.
Over 200 renowned business leaders from China and U.S., including Chen Dongsheng, Board Chairman of China Entrepreneurs Forum and Chairman of Taikang Life, Yi Huiman, President of ICBC, Feng Lun, Chairman of Vantone Group, Steven C. Rockefeller III, Peter Hancock, CEO of AIG Property-Casualty Business and Austin Hu, Partner of GL Capital attended the conference. They became the first VIP guests received by Fosun at its “Metropolitan Meeting Hub” in New York. Participants enjoyed the excellent speech delivered by Nobel laureate Prof. Joseph E. Stiglitz and the discussions on China-U.S. economic cooperation between Prof. Stiglitz and Liu Mingkang, Deputy Director of Economic Affairs Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Former Chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission.
In the evening, as an integral part of the fifth China-U.S. Business Leaders Roundtable, Fosun, ICBC and China Entrepreneurs Forum jointly presented spectacular and impressive “Fosun’s Night” activities. Ambassador Sun Guoxiang, PRC Consul General in New York, attended the dinner and gave a speech. Over 200 business leaders from U.S. and China joined the dinner.
During the dinner, Ambassador Sun Guoxiang and Yi Huiman, presented "2014 Award for Contribution to China-U.S. Commercial Cooperation"to GuoGuangchang, Chen Dongsheng, Feng Lun, Tian Yuan, Kathryn S. Wylde and Duncan L. Niederauer, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to China-U.S. commercial cooperation.
