August 14, 2015 -  Fosun Group announced to donate RMB10 million for rescue, treatment of the injured and the subsequent assistance efforts stemming from the major and extraordinary fire incident from the explosion of a warehouse containing hazardous materials in Tianjin.
 
Fosun Foundation will join forces with Fosun Pharma to provide Tianjin the necessary medication and other drugs for treating burns, as well as putting together an emergency medical experts’ team with many of its associate hospitals, including Chancheng Hospital to standby for supporting to the front line of rescue efforts. Tianjin United Family Hospital has joined the emergency response medical network initiated by the Government to arrange free psychological support treatments, and has already treated some of the injured. Meanwhile, Fosun Foundation will appropriate part of the donation to families of the firefighters who sacrificed their lives and inflicted injuries and those involved in the rescue efforts. The insurance companies under Fosun Group will also accelerate the claims administration processes.
 
"We were shocked by the severe casualties resulted from the extraordinary fire incident from the Tianjin warehouse explosion. We hereby express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families, and would like to pay our utmost tribute to our heroic fire brigade who risked their lives to in the rescue efforts!” said Guo Guangchang, chairman of Fosun Group. He added that Fosun has further appropriate its pharmaceuticals and healthcare service resources to fully support the rescue teams on location.
