“GoforIsrael Investor Achievement Prize”
On September 20, 2016, the 16th GoforIsrael China-Israel Investment Conference was held in Shanghai for the first time, with awards issued to Chinese enterprises for the major contributions they have made to Israel. Fosun was awarded the “GoforIsrael Investor Achievement Prize”.
There were two categories for this year’s “GoforIsrael Achievement Prize”, including one for enterprises and one for individuals. Only one winner was selected in each category. For this reason, the prize enjoys an excellent reputation in Israel. This year, the recipient entrepreneur of the “GoforIsrael Lifetime Achievement Prize” was Cheung Kong Property Holdings President Li Ka-shing. Fosun was awarded the “GoforIsrael Investor Achievement Prize” by virtue of its promotion and support for closer economic and trade relations between China and Israel, and its outstanding contributions to the Israeli business community.
Since its founding, the investment conference has strived to promote integration and exchange between Israel and international capital markets, serving as one of Israel’s most influential international investment conferences. GoforIsrael presents the “GoforIsrael Achievement Prize” at each year’s investment conference.
As a leading investment group rooted in China and well-established internationally, Fosun has actively focused on various investment opportunities in the Israeli market, having in 2003 acquired Israel’s leading laser cosmetic device maker Alma Lasers, as well as having acquired in April of this year a 100% stake in Israel’s top Dead Sea mineral skincare brand AHAVA. Fosun has always been optimistic about Israel’s economic development, and by investing in Israeli enterprises, Fosun hopes to catalyze future collaborations between Chinese and Israeli enterprises. Since Fosun’s investment in the company, Alma Lasers has achieved significant results in its Chinese development strategy, with China having become its single largest market. For AHAVA, Fosun has prepared an outlook for Chinese development and has fully integrated the company with Fosun resources to greatly support its growth in China.
Over the past 15 years, the GoforIsrael China-Israel investment conference have all been held in Israel, with invitations extended to various political leaders, including former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and former French Prime Minister Nicolas Sarkozy.
